Botox in Scottsdale is usually sold by the unit, at $10 to $18 per unit. That rate is not a price. Your price is the rate multiplied by how many units your face turns out to need, and nobody can tell you that number over the phone, at a consultation, or before the treatment is finished.
Frown lines and forehead together typically take 30 to 37.5 units of Botox for a woman. At Scottsdale per-unit rates that lands anywhere from $300 to $675, and which end you get depends on your dose and your clinic. At Avinity the same treatment is $523 for women and $574 for men, or $399 if you are a new patient. Every unit the result needs is included, and so is the two-week refinement visit.
Theirs is a range you cannot narrow before you commit. Ours is a price. Neither way of paying wins on every treatment, so the tables below show where each one comes out ahead.

One line item the table leaves out: if your result needs adjusting at two weeks, a per-unit clinic charges for it. That is usually 5 to 10 more units, so $50 to $180, sometimes with a visit fee on top. At Avinity the refinement visit is part of the price. It is not folded into the arithmetic above, because how often it is needed is not something this page can honestly claim.
If you need a light dose on one small area and you find a clinic at the bottom of the market, per unit costs less. A 10-unit forehead at a $10 clinic is $100, against our $224. That is a real saving, and it is the honest case for the other model.
The wider the treatment, the further a per-unit total can travel. A full upper face treatment runs $450 to $1,107 for women depending on dose and clinic, on a number you cannot know before you commit to it. Ours is $649, whatever your dose turns out to be.
Avinity is not the cheapest injector in Scottsdale, and you should be suspicious of this page if it claimed otherwise. Clinics run promotions, first-time offers and membership rates that fall below the bottom of that range, and buying Botox that way is perfectly reasonable. What we offer instead is certainty: a price you know before you start, every unit the result needs, and the refinement visit included. Every other clinic has given you a rate. None of them has given you a price.

At the $10 to $18 per unit Scottsdale clinics quote, here is what each of those quantities costs. These are Botox units.
Those spreads are wide, and that is the answer rather than a defect in it. Ask what 35 units costs and the honest reply is a $280 range, because the rate varies by clinic and nothing about a unit count fixes it.
Every figure above assumes you already know your unit count. You do not, and neither does anyone else before your treatment. Muscle strength, anatomy, how much movement you want to keep and how you responded last time all move the number, and they are assessed in the chair, not on the phone. So "how much is 35 units" cannot be answered in a way that tells you what you will pay.
The question that can be answered is what a treatment costs. Frown lines at Avinity are $299. Frown lines and forehead together are $523 for women. A full upper face treatment is $649. Those are prices for a result, whatever dose the result turns out to need.
Understanding Botox pricing
The total cost of Botox is hard to predict because a per-unit price does not tell you how many units your treatment will require. Most Scottsdale clinics quote $10 to $18 per unit. That number feels like an answer, but it is only a rate. The unit count is decided at your appointment, so the total stays unknown until you are in the chair.
A full upper face treatment, meaning frown lines, forehead, and crow's feet together, typically uses 45 to 61.5 units for women and 55 to 67.5 for men. Run that dose across the range Scottsdale actually quotes and the same treatment at the same clinic comes to $450 to $1,107 for women and $550 to $1,215 for men. There is no single number in the middle of that worth quoting, because the market does not have one.
We call that gap unit anxiety: the difference between the price in the ad and the price on your invoice.
Unit anxiety has a clinical cost, not only a financial one. When the meter is running by the unit, patients make dosing decisions with their budget instead of their anatomy. A forehead that needs 17 units gets 10. Crow's feet get skipped to keep the total down. The result softens for a few weeks, fades early, and the patient concludes that Botox does not work on them, when what actually happened is that they bought two thirds of a treatment.
This is the strongest argument for pricing by area. When the price covers the area rather than the product, the injector doses to the outcome. Every Avinity area price includes unlimited units within that area, so if your frown lines need the top of the typical range, the price does not move.
Ask three clinics for a per-unit Botox quote and you may get three different rates. Even then, the lowest rate may not produce the lowest total. The final cost depends on:
Published dosing ranges vary considerably too. Forehead treatment alone may use approximately 10 to 17.5 units of Botox in women, and men often require more because their facial muscles tend to be stronger.

What is included
At a per-unit clinic, a two-week touch-up is usually billed the way the first visit was: by the unit. If your forehead needs a few more units to finish the job, that is another line item at $10 to $18 each, sometimes with a separate visit fee on top. Your all-in cost isn’t known until that second invoice arrives.
At Avinity, every neurotoxin treatment includes a complimentary refinement visit at approximately two weeks. By then the product has taken full effect and your injector can evaluate the actual result, not just the dose placed on treatment day. If an area needs additional product to reach the intended result, it is added when clinically appropriate at no additional cost. That is what "unlimited units within an area" means in practice: the flat price covers the dose it takes to get there, whether that happens on day one or at week two.
The visit is also your chance to review the result, ask questions, and confirm you are happy with the treatment.
Product comparison
All five brands are FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A and all five work. What matters for this estimate is dosing scale. Dysport uses roughly 2.5 times the unit count of Botox for the same result, and Daxxify about twice. Jeuveau doses 1:1 with Botox, and so does Xeomin everywhere except the forehead, where published dosing is a flat 20 units. That is why the unit estimate moves when you change brands, and why a per-unit rate from one clinic cannot be compared directly against a per-unit rate for a different product.

Brand comparisons above reflect commonly used clinical conversions. Units are not interchangeable between products, per FDA labeling. Xeomin is formulated without accessory proteins, which may carry a lower theoretical risk of resistance over time. This has not been shown to be a guaranteed benefit for any individual patient.
Common questions
Most women need 10 to 17.5 units of Botox for the forehead, and most men need 15 to 22.5 units. Botox and Xeomin are the two brands with on-label FDA approval for this area; other brands are commonly used off-label at similar strength-adjusted doses. First-time patients usually do best starting near the lower end of the range, since dose can be increased at a follow-up once your injector sees how your muscles respond. Your exact count depends on muscle strength and how much movement you want to soften. The glabella (frown lines between the brows) typically takes 20 units of Botox in women and 20 units in men. This is the one area with an FDA-approved dose across all five major brands, though Dysport and Daxxify use their own unit scales.
Crow's feet (lateral canthal lines) typically run 15-24 total units across both sides in women and 20-25 total units in men with Botox, which currently holds the only on-label approval for this area among major brands.
Yes. OnabotulinumtoxinA is the generic name for Botox, so pricing is identical, and a quote for one is a quote for the other. Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau and Daxxify are different products on different unit scales, which is why comparing their per-unit prices against each other, or against the range on this page, is misleading. A Dysport unit is not a Botox unit. The conversion table further down explains how the counts relate.
Dysport is commonly dosed at roughly 2.5 to 3 times the number of units as Botox for a comparable effect. For example, glabella is typically 20 units of Botox versus 50 units of Dysport. These are commonly used clinical conversions, not an exact exchange rate: units are not interchangeable between products per FDA labeling.
Men generally have larger, stronger facial and neck musculature, which usually requires a higher dose to achieve the same softening effect. It is not that treatment "works less well." The muscle being treated is simply more powerful.
No. Each area price includes whatever dose the treatment plan calls for within that area. Typical ranges are published in the dosing chart on this page, and stronger muscles that need the higher end of the range pay the same flat price as anyone else. What the flat price does not cover is a different area: treating the forehead does not include the crow’s feet, which is exactly why each area is defined and priced on the menu above.
No. A vial of Botox contains a fixed amount of active toxin. Dilution only changes how much saline is added, which affects how the product spreads, not its strength. So a lower per-unit price at a discount clinic isn’t explained by “weaker” product; it’s usually about what else is being charged for around the injection.
Published guidance places the maximum cumulative cosmetic dose at around 400 units within a three-month period. Typical cosmetic visits use far less, often 30 to 60 units total across several areas. Your injector tracks your cumulative dosing to keep treatment well within safe limits.

On-label means the FDA has approved that brand for that specific area, and the dosing comes from the manufacturer's prescribing information. Off-label means the brand is approved and in routine use, but not specifically for that area. Off-label injection is common, established and legal, and most facial neurotoxin treatment falls into it; the ranges shown for those areas come from published clinical practice rather than manufacturer guidance, so they vary more between injectors.
Treat the whole chart as orientation, not as a plan. What your face needs is a judgement your injector makes in the chair, and it matters far more than any published range.
