Your appointment begins with a skin assessment and includes skin preparation, application of your selected SkinMedica peel, and personalized aftercare instructions.

Skin assessment
Your RN examines your skin and reviews your concerns, goals, current skincare products, relevant medical history, previous aesthetic treatments, and how much downtime you're planning for. This is where your peel gets chosen.
Cleanse and prep
Your skin is thoroughly cleansed and prepped to remove makeup, oil, and surface impurities so the peel can work evenly.
Peel application
Your RN applies the selected SkinMedica peel according to its professional protocol. Depending on the peel, the solution may go on in controlled layers while your RN watches how your skin responds.
Finish and aftercare

What does a chemical peel feel like?

During application most patients feel some combination of warmth, tingling, stinging, tightness, or a mild burning sensation. The intensity depends on the peel and your skin's sensitivity. It's temporary, and your RN monitors you the whole time.

Your recovery depends on which peel you had and how your skin responds. In the days after treatment you may temporarily notice redness, tightness, sensitivity, dryness, flaking, or visible peeling.
